Endless Survival :PROLOGUE:

ENDLESS SURVIVAL - - - - - - - -  PROLOGUE

"Quick- Pull me up!" cried a pick anthro cat as she clenches her savior's hand, dangling from the edge of the building's roof.

"Hang on Laura!" yelled the savior who appears to be a white cat as he muster all of his strength to pull Laura away from her untimely death. After several tries the cat successfully pulled Laura up, he smiled in relief and slowly pull himself up from the ground. As he approach Laura, he fell back to the ground when he felt great pain to both his legs.

"Ralph! Your legs… they're still bleeding. C'mere, give me your arm" hesitated Laura as she supported the white cat on her shoulder.

"Thanks Laura"

"No Ralph, thanks you… if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be here" thanked Laura, "C'mon let's get back to the others"

Every step he took would be a road full of regrets if he didn't save the helpless girl in time. For that he smile, held his friend's arm with relief while clutching a blood covered machete that he found on a nearby wall. The sound of several roars and loud gunshots in a distant startled them. They both quickly realize of their current situation and immediately increase precaution as they drag their wounded body toward safety.

During their journey, Ralph notice someone or something just passed through the large air vents and water tanks that surrounds them. "We better hurry up Laura, I have a bad feeling about this" whispered Ralph, speeding up his steps while ignoring the pain that his causing to himself.

"Stop Ralph! You're making it worse. Please, slow down" Laura pleaded, tugging on Ralph's shirt, trying to force Ralph to slow down.

The young cat stop for a while, stares into poor Laura's eyes and said "No Laura, the more time we spent away from the group, the greater the risk I'll lose you. I care more about your safety. You know that!"

Ralph slowly stroke Laura's hair with his uninjured hand and rested it on her shoulder. The white feline look at the girl, admiring her, feeling that every moment he look at her would be the last time he'll see her. Horror struck Ralph, as he saw a strange  figure charging towards them from afar. The figure wields several terrifying characteristic as it reach a visible distance, like having bones sticking out from several area of its body, white ghostly eyes and a 'nearly' jawless muzzle, "GRRAAWWRR!!" growled the as it charge towards the two injured felines at full speed, arms out as if its trying to reach out for them.

Like a lightning flash, the courageous Ralph slip aside Laura, shielding her from the attacker and with a single swing from the machete, the attacker fell to the ground decapitated and lifeless.

As they look at the dead attacker's body (now oozing out blood from both disembodied parts) another one appeared right beside them without warning, grabbing Ralph by the wrist. Ralph knocked it off him, raise his machete, ready to strike again when…

"BAAM!!!"

The sound of a load gunshot echoed through the night. The second attacker's burst into pieces as a wall of small metal ball penetrated it at great speed. Both Laura and Ralph turn to their side and right there, in front of them stood a young black haired wolf whose furs are supposedly to be red but look like they had been drenched in blood. In his hand wields two small two barrel shotguns, in which both of them releasing a thin, white smoke.
